By using EczemaClues (the "App") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
EczemaClues is a journaling and pattern-spotting tool. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and does not provide medical advice. Patterns and "clues" it shows are statistical correlations in the data you logged — they can be wrong, coincidental, or incomplete. Always consult a qualified clinician before making health decisions (including diet changes such as eliminating foods) for yourself or your child. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something the App displayed.
Using the App requires signing in with your email. Your journal is stored end-to-end encrypted (see our Privacy Policy) and also cached on your device. Encryption uses a passphrase that only you know; we never receive it and cannot reset it. If you lose your passphrase and your recovery key, your data is permanently unrecoverable by anyone, including us. You are responsible for safeguarding your passphrase and recovery key.
The App lets you invite another parent or caregiver to share a child's journal. By sending an invite you are choosing to grant that person access to that child's health data, and you confirm you are authorized to do so. Invite links carry an access key — keep them private and send them only to the intended person. Because the data is end-to-end encrypted, access you grant is durable and cannot always be fully revoked (see the Privacy Policy); do not share with anyone you do not intend to have ongoing access.
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial health journaling. You agree not to misuse the service (e.g., storing unrelated content, attempting to access others' data or vaults you were not invited to, sharing invite links beyond their intended recipient, or disrupting the service).
EczemaClues is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the App or the optional backup service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice before discontinuing the backup service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EczemaClues and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Your sole and exclusive remedy is to stop using the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App (currently zero — the App is free).
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. EczemaClues is currently free to use; if paid features are ever introduced, they will be clearly marked and entirely optional.
